Heart-Breaking Morning

Lots of good morning wishes but today, the 6th february, 2022 is heartbreaking morning for the whole nation. Lata Mangeshkar is no more! Shocking!!!

The whole nation and inter-nation is under the grief ceremonial of the legendary singer

Indian Government declared "राष्ट्रीय शोक" today and the next day. The national flag will remain half-masted during national mourning.

All members of Indian Music Industry, Indian Film Industry, Indian Ministers, Celebrities and fans expressed their condolences.

LAST RITES AND CREMATION

The mortal remains of the 'Nightingale of India' were taken home to Prabhu kunj Building and kept there for a couple of hours for people to pay their last respects.

Later, with special permission from Indian Government in Covid-19 lockdown situation, they were shifted to Shivaji Park where the public caught a final glimpse of her from 4:00pm - 6:30pm. Thereafter, around 6:30pm the Bharat Ratna singer Lata Mangeshkar was accorded funeral with full state honours.(Source: IndiaTV News)

Lata Mangeshkar, known as 'Nightingale of India' passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. She breathed her last at 08:12am IST today.

Born in Indore, she remained the most iconic singer in Indian cinematic and music history. She began her career at the age of 13 in 1942 and has sung over 30,000 songs in several Indian and foreign languages.

  Her Contribution and Achievement

Her contribution to the Indian Music Industry was unmatchable. She did various collaborations with other singers which gained her 

honorific titles like:

"Nightingale of India"

"Voice of the Millennium"

"Queen of Melody"
